Abstract

Indian tolerant ideas have been represented in various forms in the poetry of the poets of the Safavid period; Because the land of India is the cradle of culture and civilization, and the invention of divine religion by Akbar Shah shows the readiness of the Indian society for religious pluralism. On the other hand, the strong presence of the standard-bearers of Islamic-Iranian mysticism and Sufism, who in different ages found India safe for the dissemination of their ideas, provided Persian culture for the comprehensive reception of these ideas; Therefore, the presence of pictorial poets like Saeb Tabrizi in this space has opened the way for the widespread publication of Indian ideas in the poetry of the Safavid period. In this article, with descriptive-analytical method, the authors aim to investigate the various aspects of Saeb's thoughts and his image-making methods and try to show the influence of Indian teachings in compiling the tolerant and tolerating thoughts of Saeb Tabrizi. The results of the research indicate that Saeb Tabrizi introduced total peace, uniformity, tolerance against slander, openness, unexpected forgiveness, tolerance, error covering and benevolence as the manifestations of tolerance and considers them as a means to achieve human comfort.
